On June 9  Rob Lokin received "The Silver Carnation Award" from Her Majesty Queen Beatrix in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam.
The Prince Bernhard Cultural Foundation awarded the prize to him for "his selfless commitment to the Afrikafestival Hertme". Besides his organizational efforts, the diverse and original programming is praised, which the festival has developed into "a must for connoiseurs. A wide audience is thus able to experience the rich music from Africa.
Rob is programmer of the festival since 1991.
